Building California News Now
I started California News Now after trying to find out something simple: how much my rent could legally go up. Every answer online was a paraphrase of a paraphrase, half of them were quoting the wrong year, and none of them mentioned that my city had its own ordinance that overrode the state cap entirely. The actual answer was in one code section and one city ordinance, and it took an afternoon to find. That is the whole idea here — go to the source, say what it says, name the county or city it applies to, and put the date on it.
